Transcribed by Norma Knotts Shaffer from microfilm
of the Calhoun Chronicle dated 3/26/1901.
"Uncle" Daniel Dewease, of Eden, was in this part a few days ago.
He is eighty years old, being born about fifteen years after the first
settler moved into this county, and knows the history of the county for
the past seventy five years, and is preparing a history of his life and
times, written entirely from memory. |
