The Inter-State Cooperage Company is putting in mills at Rosedale, Braxton
County, preparatory to manufacturing the oak timber on the Bennett heirs'
land in Gilmer, Calhoun, and Braxton counties. The erection of the
mills are causing the construction of a railroad from Frametown, which
is giving Rosedale and vicinity quite a boom. The Inter-State Cooperage
Company is a Standard concern, and acquired the property mentioned several
years ago. It is the opinion that they will construct the Railroad
on through the property to the Little Kanawha, in order that they can get
out their cooperage stuff by boat.-Parkersburg Sentinel. |
