The Remains of Levi Jeffreys Found
On last Friday morning while hunting for bee trees, two Bell boys found
a pile of sun bleached bones upon a hill about a mile back of Robert Ferrell's
at Purdy, which turned out to be the remains of poor unfortunate Levi Jeffreys,
whose mysterious disappearance caused a sensation a little over a year
ago. A rope was dangling above the bones, which told its own tale.
In the search for the body last year several searching parties passed
close to the spot where the body was at that time dangling. The remains
were buried Sunday at three o'clock at the McConaughey farm.
