W. C. Brooks, a prominent citizen from Bigbend, came in Thursday evening
aboard the tugboat "Night Owl." Mr. Brooks met with quite an accident
which might have proven fatal had it not been for the quick action of some
of the dock hands. When he walked from the boat the stage plank broke,
and he fell into the river, but was rescued before much harm was done. |
