Barn and Horses Burned
One night last week the barn and all the grain, three fine horses and
harness, of J.G. West, on the waters of Trace Fork, was destroyed by fire.
This was undoubtedly set on fire by someone, as there was no other way
in which it could have started. This is among the worst crimes that
could have been committed. Officers are working on the case and no
doubt will bring the guilty one to time.
Everyone sympathizes very much with Mr. West, and no one can figure
out why such a deed would be done to him, as he is well liked by all his
neighbors. |
