Transcribed by Norma Knotts Shaffer from microfilm
of the Calhoun Chronicle dated 5/12/1908.
This issue of the Chronicle is printed on the first power cylender press
ever in the county. We have installed a good press and we hope to
soon make some great improvements in our paper.
The work of installing a press like the one we put in our office last
week is a wonderful task. Had it not been for the genius of Roy Stump,
and his general knowledge of things and assistance rendered by John M.
Hamilton and many others, we should have to resort to the old hand press
once more. To all those who rendered assistance we are very thankful,
and will reciprocate if occasion presents itself. |
