CALHOUN HIGH SCHOOL CLOSED THURSDAY-FRIDAY FOLLOWING COVID-19 OUTBREAK

In an effort to be transparent with the community and respect the privacy of our employees, Calhoun County Schools has additional students test positive for COVID-19.

Many students quarantined, and the school nurse is still working on contact tracing. 

   On the advice and recommendation of MOVHD and School Nurse Anderson, the Calhoun High School students will be remote learning only Thursday, May 6th, and Friday, May 7th.

 "We will decide about next week tomorrow afternoon, students will likely return on Monday, May 10th," said Superintendent Kelli Whytsell.

   Students that are quarantined need to follow all of the quarantine guidelines.  Everyone that has been quarantined must remain quarantined until the date given.  The board meeting in the auditorium at CMHS on Monday. 

  "As a school system, our employees do the COVID-19 screeners, take temperatures, and sanitize.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.   We are a close school family and will continue to provide whatever assistance we can safely provide to them during this time.   Thank you for your support of Calhoun County Schools, our students, and the school community,"concluded Whytsell.
