NWS WATCH FOR HIGH WINDS SUNDAY AFTERNOON

STRONG GUSTY WINDS WILL OCCUR TODAY... Wind speeds will strengthen today across nearly the entire region. Southwest winds will strengthen to sustained values of 15 to 25 mph with frequent gusts of 30 to 40 mph. Isolated stronger gusts may occur. The strongest winds will occur from midday through the afternoon before gradually subsiding late today. These stronger winds will blow around unsecured objects and may cause small tree limbs to break. Motorists, especially those driving high-profile vehicles, should use extra caution while traveling today.
