ABIGAIL FLORES EARNS A BLACK BELT IN KARATE

(12/12/2019)

Abigail Flores gained the honor of achieving
her black belt in Karate, on November 21, 2019

Abigail represents the Dento Busido Kai Karate Foundation, and is taught by Sheehan Dale Thayer and Sheehan Mario Preiser (right) at the Clendenin Dojo. Both have been leaders and champions in their field and have spent decades refining their skills in the art of karate and Iaido.

She has spent over four years studying martial arts and testing through a hierarchy of belts to reach this honored level. She also studies the Iaido under the mentoring of nationally-recognized Sheehan Dana Abbott, which is samauri swordsmanship. She attends classes for both at the dojo on Main Street in Clendenin, WV.

You'll now find her leading classes and sharing her knowledge with others alongside her teachers. She invites you to join her on any Monday or Thursday night to give it a try. Both adults and children are welcome to join class. No experience necessary, just an interest in learning. If interested please call 304-993-8009 and speak with Dale Thayer.

Abigail is the daughter of Sheriff Jeff and Christy Haynes-Starcher of Arnoldsburg and Miguel Flores of Mink Shoals.
