Carl Shaw, about 90, who has lived in the backwoods of the Village of Hur since the 1980s, has died.
He suffered a serious medical problem a few weeks ago and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Honoring his request, his family returned him to his homeplace this past week where he wanted to die.
