The historic Ruble Church, said to have been built in 1834 near Burning Springs in Wirt County, is among West Virginia's longest standing churches.

It was built by Aaron S. Ruble, who welcomed all to worship except those with "northern beliefs."

The church is on the National Registry of Historic Places, is privately owned, and was deteriorating and in dire need of restoration.
