The Women, Infants, and Children [WIC] Nutrition Program is a supplemental foods program for pregnant, post-partum, or breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to the age of five. WIC provides food, breastfeeding support and nutrition education to families in Calhoun County. You will be completing all tasks and duties required for driving around the local area, as well as some long-distance jobs.

Required Tasks and duties will include: Carrying out routine vehicle checks. Making sure that the load is correctly placed and is secure. Maintaining a log book with details of trips, including rest breaks on long trips. Operate lowboy detach and dump truck. Operate equipment to load and unload. Experience in hauling logs, pipe, heavy equipment, etc. To successfully secure this opportunity, you must: Have at least five years truck-driving experience. Have a Class A CDL license. Be reliable, punctual and self-motivated. Have a great attitude and strong work ethic. Be capable and confident in your ability. Be able to stay out of town when needed.

SPRUCE HOLLOW ONE-DAY BIBLE SCHOOL - Spruce Hollow Church at Big Bend, will hold a one-day old-fashioned Vacation Bible School, on Saturday, August 25th, from 10 a.m to 2:00 p.m. The theme will be "And the Greatest of These is Love". Three mini lessons focusing on faith, hope and love are being offered for kids and adults, as well as faith and Bible based games, and crafts. An old fashioned picnic style dinner (hot dogs, sauce, etc) will be served. The congregation asks to please spread the word and join them for a day of fellowship, worship and fun.

CRESTON COMMUNITY SING - The Creston Community Building at 340 Anns Run Road will host a sing on Saturday, August 25. Doors open at 5:00 P.M. with music starting at 6:00.
