(12/11/2003)
The FEMA "answer people" came to Calhoun yesterday to help those affected by the recent floods, according to Ron Hornbeck, a community relations specialist for the agency.

FEMA says at least 60 individuals or businesses have contacted the agency so far.

FEMA is setting up a Disaster Relief Center at the Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department starting today, and is expected to be there 3-5 days.

The center will be open from 10 am to 7 pm.

Hornbeck said any property owner or business person with questions or problems, should come to the Disaster Relief Center.

Individuals who have already completed claims with FEMA or the SBA to not have to come, said Hornbeck.

"The SBA now has some creative loan programs to help not only small businesses, but homeowners too," he said.

Last months flood did considerable damage along the West Fork and Little Kanawha.
