Florence M. Richardson, 76 of Cox Mills, WV died Sunday morning, April 1 in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, WV.

Born in Kanawha County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Trula Ethel Washington Raines. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She attended and taught Sunday School at the leading Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are 3 sons, John and Michael Richardson both of Spencer and Larry Richardson of Forest Grove, Oregon; 2 daughters, Marion Utt of Fairmont, WV and Carol Staats of Walton, WV; a brother, Thomas Raines of Ceredo-Kenova; 2 sisters, Minnie Schoolcraft of Sophia, WV and Kathryn Drennen of North Carolina; a brother-in-law, H.E. Richardson of LaGrange, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron, Sarah, Danielle, Kayla, Logan, Steve and Lia Richardson, Roy and Travis White, Heather Bibbee, Ronald and David Utt. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John L. Richardson and a brother, Robert Raines.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Rev. Waitman Sandy and Rev. Jeffrey Jett will officiate. Interment will be in the Clover Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
