ROANE COUNTY HIGH GRADUATE KILLED - Jett Dies In North Carolina

A 2002 graduate of Roane County High School has died of injuries he received in a car accident in Lenior, North Carolina. Daniel Steven Jett, 20, of Left Hand died December 1.

Services are being held today at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Elkview, with the Rev. Lee Swor, the Rev. Rick Perrine and the Rev. Randy Ledsome officiating.

He was a student at Caldwell Community College, Lenoir, studying for a degree in bio-medical technology, with one semester remaining before graduating.

Survivors include his mother, Debbie Tignor of Charleston; father, Greg Jett of Left Hand; brothers, Christopher Jett of Nitro, Nathan Jett and AJ Tignor, both of Charleston; stepdad, Brian Tignor of Charleston; fiancée, Michele Brewer; maternal grandmother, Edith Justice of Charleston; paternal grandparents, Ron and Nina Jett of Elkview; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alvin Justice of Charleston.
