2003: SANTA ARRIVES IN GRANTSVILLE - Hometown Country Christmas Concludes

(12/04/2023)
Grantsville's annual Christmas Parade passed through the town shortly after 6 p.m. Friday, with the fire truck delivering the most important seasonal figure - Santa Claus.

The parade, billed as "bigger than ever," included several special floats with an appearance of the Calhoun High Red Devils band.

Despite rain and chilly temperatures, some hardy souls and their children turned out on Main Street, after which kids (and a few adults) paid a visit to St. Nick.

Yesterday was the conclusion of Hometown Country Christmas, the annual crafts and gifts show held in the courthouse.

"HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS"

Here comes Santa Claus!

Here comes Santa Claus!

Right down Santa Claus Lane!

Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer

...are pulling on the reins.

Bells are ringing, children singing;

All is merry and bright.

Hang your stockings and say your prayers,

'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Here comes Santa Claus!

Here comes Santa Claus!

Right down Santa Claus Lane!
