Brenda McKown 47, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, died at 2:11 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2003, in Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio. She was born April 15, 1956, in Roane County, a daughter of the late Charles and Jessie Ward Arthur. Mrs. McKown was a homemaker and member of the Church of the Living God, Spencer, WV. Survivors include her husband, Pastor Clarence E. McKown of Arnoldsburg; stepdaughters, Rebecca Armentrout of Fairplain, WV and Emily Kerby of Arnoldsburg; sister, Linda Conley of Spencer and brother, Douglas Arthur also of Spencer. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 8 at 1 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor Harvey "Buck" Greathouse officiating. Burial will be in the Sand Ridge Cemetery, Sand Ridge, Calhoun County. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 7. John H. Taylor Funeral Home
