Sand Ridge resident Brian Rush, 23, is back in jail after violating terms of his probation set last month. Rush was placed on five-year probation for a sexual offense by Judge Thomas Evans III during Calhoun Circuit Court in October. Magistrate Teresa Robinson revoked Rush's probation based on information Rush had contact with a female under the age of 18. Rush had been charged with third-degree sexual assault against a 13-year-old female, whose mother gave Rush permission to travel with him. Rush pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual assault. Magistrate Teresa Robinson said the probation violation did not indicate he was involved in a sexual relationship with an underage female. A hearing on the case is set for December. |
