(11/12/2003)
Nicole Kelley has received the McKelvey Foundation 2004 Gold Scholarship for Calhoun High School. Kelley will receive up to $10,000 per year to attend a McKelvey partnering institution in West Virginia.

She plans to attend Glenville State College for one year then transfer to Shepherd College, where she will major in psychology or criminal justice. She would like to become a criminal profiler.

Kelley wrote an essay then interviewed with the McKelvey staff, indicating her entrepreneurialism.

Every Gold Scholarship recipient is required to work with their guidance counselor to identify a senior who is capable of succeeding in college, but is not planning to attend college. That person will receive a McKelvey Bronze Scholarship.

Kelley will also attend a one-day conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on December 9th and will participate in Camp McKelvey in June, 2004.
