COL. LARRY GODFREY RECEIVES GOVERNOR'S AND LEGISLATIVE AWARDS - Victory Baptist Recognizes Veterans

It was a surprise, the special recognition Col. Larry Godfrey received yesterday morning at Victory Baptist Church.

Delegate Bill Stemple presented two awards, a West Virginia Legislative Citation and a special recognition award from Gov. Bob Wise.

The highly decorated military officer from Calhoun, has practiced medicine for the military, and still continues to teach.

He is the son of Don and Evelyn Godfrey of Grantsville. Also attending the ceremony was his military brother Sgt. Rodney Godfrey.

Pastor Mike Worf and Assistant Pastor C. W. McDonald helped deliver a morning service dedicated to Calhoun's veterans.
