Mabel V. Price Cooper, 90, of Spencer, W.Va., died Nov. 7, 2003, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer. She was born May 11, 1913, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Alta Cleavenger Price. She was a homemaker, a wildflower collector and she enjoyed painting. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Steven L. and David Cooper, both of Spencer; one sister, Furn Martin of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Jim Cooper and Matt Cooper, both of Spencer, Anita Wood of Fairmont, W.Va., and Jimmy Mitchell of Martinsburg, W.Va.; and five great-grandchildren, Justin, A.J., Abigail, Jonathan, and Mackenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cooper; one brother, Holbert "Pug" Price; and two sisters, Genevieve Boston Smith and Mary Kay Morford. Service will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, 2003, at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Beth Peters officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery.
