TWO DIE ON ATVS IN WV OVER WEEKEND

(11/03/2003)
A 63-year-old Campbelld Creek woman is dead after crashing her ATV going down a hill Saturday. She was identified as Judith May Foster.

A 17-year-old boy was killed Friday night in Wyoming County when his vehicle collided with a truck on a highway in Herndon.

At least eight children, mostly under 15, have died on ATVs this year.

West Virginia has the highest incidence of ATV deaths in the nation, according to the Center for Rural Medicine in Morgantown. About 25-30 people are killed a year in the state, hundreds injured.

West Virginia is one of only six states without ATV regulations.
