Authorities are investigating the slashing of 88 tires on 22 parked vehicles.
The vandalism occurred at Dye's Used Cars on Route 5 near the Grantsville town
limits.
Deputy Sheriff Charlie Richards said the damage was done Sunday night or early
Monday morning.
"They used a round-like instrument to puncture the holes," said Richards, who was
unaware of a motive for the incident.
Richard's said anyone with information regarding the vandalism, to please call the
Sheriff's Department.
Grantsville Police Chief Ron Gordon is investigating the theft of tires from company
vehicles at Dominion Gas in south Grantsville.
