EXPLOSION CAUSED HASTING STATION FIRE - No Injuries Reported

4:00 PM - A major explosion struck Hastings Station in Wetzel County just before noon today. Dominion crews are investigating the cause of a natural gas explosion at the company's extraction plant in Wetzel County, according to media representative Bob Fulton. Fulton told the Hur Herald there were no injuries in the explosion. Fulton says the ensuing fire was quickly put out and the system automatically shut itself down. The facility extracts byproducts from natural gas before it is shipped to distributors.
