Dottie Mae Brannon, 91 - Tariff

Dottie Mae Brannon, 91, of Tariff died Oct. 29, 2003, at home after an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 4, 1912, at Nebo, Clay County, a daughter of the late Lambert Myers and Rebecca Mollohan Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Don Brannon; daughter, Donnie Keen; brother, Basil Cooper; sisters, Jessie Thompson, Gertie Hardway, Georgia Cooper and Sylvia Cooper; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Brannon was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Linden Chapter 152, Linden, and the Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Jean Keen of Tariff, Janet and Basil Bailey of West Salem, Ohio, Wanda and Garland Deweese of Tariff, Retta Miller of Norton, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Iva Brannon of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; brothers, Harry Cooper of Norton, Brooks Cooper of Chloe; sisters, Bina Hicks of Akron, Ohio, Margaret Shearers of Dunbar, Elva Browning of South Charleston, Eliza Vaughn of Charleston, Marlene Potasnik of Nebo; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Darrell Mollohan officiating. Burial will be in Clover Cemetery, Clover.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
