LOOK SKYWARD FOR NORTHERN LIGHTS

(10/30/2003)
As communication networks, satellites and radios are affected by the current bombardment of solar particles, the chance of dramatic northern lights is increasing.

Calhoun's skies are a good place to look skyward, with few lights to create glare problems.

Though some scattered reports of red lights were received about 7 p.m., the best viewing may be later overnight.

Clear skies are predicted for the area for the next several nights.
