Harvey Gene Hicks, 69 - Chloe

Harvey Gene Hicks, 69, of Chloe, died October 26, 2003 at Charleston Area Medical Center.

He was the son of the late Roscoe Hicks and Malinda "Belle" King. He was a retired timber and construction worker and a farmer.

He is survived by his companion of 23 years, Wanda Richards of Chloe; daughters, Barbara Hammack of Spencer, Wanda Helsinger of Ronceverte and Genie Hicks of Chloe; son, Justin "Craig" Hicks of Spencer; brothers, Robert King of Chloe and Julius Hicks of Ravenna, Ohio; sisters, Patsy Sears of Chloe, Bertha Gandy of Sandyville, WV and Anna Bingham of Ravenna, Ohio.

Also six grandchildren, Charles Metz, Fauna Cleveland, Robert Rhodes, Garret Helsinger, Courtney Helsinger and Ariah Fowler.

He was preceded in death by son Robert "Eugene" Hicks, a sister, Betty Hicks and brother, Everett Hicks.

Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, on Friday, October 31 at 12 noon. Rev. Darius Arnold will officiate. Interment will be in the King Cemetery at Chloe.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
