Trooper C. J. Weekley of the State Police detachment in Elizabeth said Barrickman's 1997 Saturn went left of center in a curve about 8:30 a.m., striking the truck.

Members of Wirt EMS and the Elizabeth VFD extracted the victim from her auto, said Trooper Weekley.

Jerry A. Smarr, who was driving eastbound in a 1997 International dump truck, was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg. A report on his condition was unavailable.

Authorities said Barrickman is the daughter of Scott and Judy Yost.

Arrangements are incomplete at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville.
