GRANTSVILLE COUNCIL WILL DISCUSS CHIEF'S JOB, EMPLOYEE PAY RAISES AND PROPERTY ISSUES - Monday 7 P.M. At Courthouse

Grantsville Town Council will look at the status of the town's police chief Ron Gordon Monday evening. Gordon is completing a 90-day probationary period.

Pay raises for some town employees is also on the agenda.

The agenda says there will be a discussion regarding the status of property along the mouth of Simon's Run. The property is between Smith's Service Station, owned by the Morris family business interests, and the Grantsville Senior Citizens Center.

The discussion will apparently center on the Town of Grantsville's concerns over the property.

Old business on the agenda includes:

Drain on Mill Street; Unkempt yard question; Drain on Wigner Street; Caution light at intersection of Rt. 5 & Rt. 7; Flags showing support for troops.

A new business items includes setting the date and time for Trick or Treat.
