JONES INDICTED FOR SECOND ROANE MURDER - Jarvis Scheduled For Sentencing

Roger Eric Jones, 31, of Chloe has been charged with the December 2002 slaying of John Morehead, 68, of Arnoldsburg Road, Spencer. The indictment was brought Tuesday by a Roane County Grand Jury. Jones has also been charged with murdering 83-year-old Oral "Sam" Jett near Amma, last January. His girlfriend, Jamie Jarvis of Chloe, is scheduled to be sentenced today on misdemeanor charges of being an accessory after the fact in the Jett murder. A Grantsville man, Jeremy Collins, 21, was indicted for forgery, uttering and obtaining money by false pretenses. The case alleges that Collins cashed a $500 check on the account of Danny R.
