RUSH CONTINUES RECOVERY - Injured September 14 In ATV Accident

(09/19/2003)
Shawn Rush, 25, of Mt. Zion, has been sent home from Charleston General Hospital to continue recovery from a 4-wheeler accident. He will be facing several surgical procedures, according to a family spokesperson.

He had been listed in critical condition for about 48-hours.

Rush was injured on September 14 on Beech Road, indicating a tie-rod went out on the ATV.

He has a slight neck fracture, fractured leg, ankle and wrist.

"He is recovering well from his head injury," according to his wife. "It will be several months before he can return to work" as a oil and gas field worker.

Rush, who was uninsured, was probably sent home because he did not have insurance, according to his wife.
