You heard it was coming.

Get the wood chopping tools out and clean the stove pipe.

Natural gas prices are increasing, but not as high as the rates requested.

About 230,000 thousand West Virginians will see their natural gas bills go up to 25 percent starting in October.

The Public Service Commission has approved price hikes for Allegheny Power companies, including Mountaineer Gas. The companies had requested increases of more than 40 percent.

Every gas company in the state has requested an increase, some as high as 77 percent.

If you have any money left after paying your heating bill, you can look forward to buying a little gasoline, which is approaching or exceeding $2 a gallon.
