4-WHEELER VICTIM OUT OF ICU - Shawn Rush Improving

Mt. Zion resident Shawn Rush, 25, has been taken out of ICU at Charleston General Hospital, his condition improving, according to a family spokesperson. Rush had been listed in critical condition. Rush was seriously injured in a 4-wheeler accident on Beech Road Sunday evening, including a fractured neck and head trauma. Rush is facing a number of surgical procedures at Charleston Area Medical Center, mostly for fractures and crushing injuries to his arm, wrist, leg and ankle, according to his sister Tammy Anderson. Anderson said his recovery will take an extended period of time.
