RICHARD LANCASTER HAS DIED - Grantsville Businessman Left His Mark

Well-known Grantsville resident and businessman Richard Lancaster has died after a long bout with cancer. He was 77. (Complete funeral notice will appear under OBITS) Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Victory Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Worf and the Rev. Joe Lancaster officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the church, and one hour prior to services.

Lancaster is one of those people who left his mark on the Calhoun Community. A member of the Victory Baptist Church, his talents, work, generosity and presence will be missed by the membership.

Lancaster was founder of Lancaster Woodworking, which he started in 1956. He later turned the business over to his four sons.

He was a retired assistant superintendent of Consolidated Gas Supply with 37 years service.
