She was born August 24, 1926, in Boone County, a daughter of the late Clintwood Jack and Nellie Blosser Carter. She was a retired post master at the former Pigeon Post Office and a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Ronnie and James Jett both of Pigeon, Donnie Jett of Spencer; two daughters, Nella Dunlap of Spencer and Debra Shaffer of Pigeon; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Marlon W. Jett and Martin Seymoure.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, September 2 at 3 p.m. in the Jett Family Cemetery, Pigeon, with the Rev. Michael F. "Mike" King officiating. There will be no visitation.

The John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
