JARVIS DIES FROM GUNSHOT - Police Respond To Shooting Incident

Calhoun law enforcement responded to a 911 call regarding a shooting near Five Forks early Saturday morning.

Robert Jarvis, 23, reportedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Jarvis died shortly after the shooting, in the "presence of his girlfriend."

The incident took place at a residence on Nobe Road about 2 a.m., a short distance from State Route 16, Five Forks.

Sheriff Allen Parsons, DNR officer John Apgar and the West Virginia State Police responded, along with Calhoun EMS.

Authorities are investigating the incident.

Funeral arrangements for Jarvis will be completed at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville.
