ELMA E. STEWART - Normantown

Elma E. Stewart, 83, of Normantown, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord August 27, 2003 after a short illness.

She was born February 6, 1920 at Clarksburg, WV. She was married to Robert E. Stewart on May 8, 1943.

Their family consisted of four children, Jeanette and Duane Riffle of Shock, WV and grandson, Myron Riffle of Wayne Michigan; Brock and Anna Stewart of Shock and grandchildren, Todd Stewart, Amy Fitzwater and Jason Stewart; Roger and Marina Stewart of Perkins, WV and grandchildren, Sherry Hamond, Angela Stewart and Ben Stewart; Brent and Debra Stewart of Newark, WV and grandchildren Todd Goodwin, Bob Stewart and sara Stewart; three great grandchildren, Stewart and Jared Fitzwater and Shelby Riffle.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie and Step-father, J.G. "Red" Warner.

She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at Stumptown, WV and the Rebekah Lodge with 13 years service.

Her life was dedicated to care taking and service to her family and friends, and will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pisgah Baptist Church at Stumptown. Rev. Herbert Smith will officiate. Interment will be in the Collins Cemetery at Stumptown. Friends may call at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
