RUBY MAE STOTTS - Formerly of Looneyville

Ruby Mae Stotts, 81, of Bluefield, formerly of Looneyville, died Saturday, August 22, 2003, in the Bluefield Regional Medical Center, Bluefield, after a brief illness.

She was born August 29, 1921, in Charleston, a daughter of the late Edward Osborne and Eva Mae Mays Ferguson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Richard Stotts; brother, Edward "Bill" Lee Ferguson; and sister, Beatrice Ruth Ferguson.

She was retired from the West Virginia ABCC. Mrs Stotts formerly served as a member of the Roane County Democrat Committee and was a member of the Epling Chapel Baptist Church, Looneyville.

Survivors include a son, Charles Paul "Chuck" Stotts of Grand Rapids, MI; a grandson, Ian Paul Stotts of Columbus, OH; a sister, Betty L. Macomber of Bluefield.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, August 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Robert A. "Bob" Keen officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday.

Either floral tributes or donations, in memory of Mrs. Stotts, to a charity of the donor's choice will be appreciated.
