Everett Eugene Jarvis, 66, of Walnut Cove, North Carolina, died August 20th in Richmond,
Virginia.
Born at Oka, Calhoun County, West Virginia, he was a son of the late William Everett and
Ellafae Metheney Jarvis. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and served in the
armed forces from 1954 to 1965. He was a foreman for Vacellio and Grogan Company and
was a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Evans Jarvis and one son, Chad Jarvis of Walnut Cove; one
brother, Jim Jarvis of Windham, Ohio; three sisters, Barbara Parsons of Uniontown, Ohio,
Donna Arroe of Evans, WV and Carolyn Newell of Mogadore, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV.
Rev. Rick Metheney will officiate. Interment will be in the Josiah Jarvis Cemetery, Oka, WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
