The Sturm Reunion was held Saturday at Calhoun County Park. Two of four
members of the Mallie and Florence Elliott Sturm descendants attended the event.
Azeline Hersman, 87, of Grantsville and Eleanor Boyles, 89, of Belpre, Ohio, enjoyed
the afternoon with family and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Sturm pulled a giant grill all the way from Lewis County
to prepare delicious pork barbecue, among other entrees.
Mallie and Florence Elliott Sturm had seven children. In addition to Azeline and
Eleanor, Tom Sturm of North Carolina and Bernice Hawkey of Grantsville also
survive. Deceased, Holden, Otho and Marguerete (Mrs. Bob Morgan).
Mallie, a old-timer from Sycamore, retired from the Hope Gas Company after 35
years. Mallie, his wife and all of their seven children went to the same one room
school on Sycamore, the Hathaway School.
