Campers already arriving for festival weekend

The Sixth Annual Firemen's Bluegrass Festival kicked off yesterday at Upper West Fork Park at Chloe. Campers began arriving early to get a spot and get ready for the event.

The festival runs through Saturday night, with a climax by a giant fireworks display.

Dozens of regional bluegrass bands will be playing today and tomorrow. The admission is only $3.

"Lots of great bluegrass and lots of good food," said Sonny Lowers, one of the organizers.

The event is a fundraiser for the Upper West Fork VFD.
