A bar customer apparently did not like a TV program in a Route 5 bar.
An unidentified customer fired a gun at a TV inside the Hilltop Inn early Tuesday
morning. The man reportedly shot a weapon, reportedly a 9mm, once or twice and
then went outside the bar.
A manager called 911 for assistance at 12:34 a.m., after which Calhoun Sheriff
Allen Parsons and Deputy Carl Ballengee responded, along with Trooper Jeff
Hunt.
The manager reportedly locked the shooter from the building.
It was unclear what disposition was made of the situation, but reports said the man
likely fled.
The Hilltop is located west of Grantsville on State Route 5 between Cabot Station
and Big Bend.
