FLATWOODS WILL BUILD $1.8 MIL BUILDING FOR NEW TENANTS

Braxton County is wanting to lure more tenants to Flatwoods. The West Virginia Council for Community and Economic Development approved a $809,000 loan for a 30,000 square foot building near Day's Inn. The Braxton County Development Authority will combine the loan with a $1 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Authority to build the $1.8 million building. The first tennant of the building will be a manufacturer of X-ray imaging equipment currently located in Gassaway. The company plans to add 10 jobs within three years.
