Karen Bess, 54, of Parma, Ohio, formerly of Calhoun County, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2003, after a long
battle with
cancer. She was born February 8, 1949, in Calhoun County the daughter of the late Harriett Hoskins and Denver
Chenoweth. She
was a graduate of Calhoun County High School with the class of 1968. She is survived by three sons, Michael
(Cheryl) Bess,
Scott (Therese) Bess, and Aaron Bess all of Parma, Ohio; one granddaughter, Gabby Bess of Parma, Ohio, two sisters,
Sue
(Denzil) McKown, of North Royalton, Ohio, and Judy Meadows of Tanner, WV; one brother, Roger (Shirley)
Chenoweth of Chloe,
WV, and seven nieces and nephews. She had attended the Hillview Baptist Church. Funeral services were held on
Saturday,
August 2, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. at Tomon & Son Funeral Home in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Rev. Frank Brown
Officiated.
Interment was in the Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
