SCHOOL BOARD DEALS WITH PERSONNEL ISSUES - Two Expulsions Heard

The Calhoun County Board of Education met Monday at the new administrative offices behind Calhoun Middle/High School.

Two students were involved in expulsion hearings. One was referred to an IEP placement committee and the other was expelled for one calendar year.

Lew Holloway, new West Virginia University Extension agent, introduced himself and is looking forward to working with the board on projects.

Ralph Cunningham reported on the June 19, 2003 CGCC Meeting.

Karen Kirby gave a report on the Graduate Follow Up Survey.

The Comprehensive Guidance Policy and the Student Code of Conduct Policy was approved unanimously. Also approved, student handbooks. Lights On! proposals and the attendance policy
