ORA MELLOTT - Arnoldsburg

Ora Mellott, 77, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2003 at Roane general Hospital, Spencer, following a long illness.

He was a Christian, a member of Arnoldsburg Community Church and attended Leatherbark Community Church. He served with the U.S. Army and was retired from self-employment as Mellott Construction Company.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Suttle Wilson, four sons, Danny and Mike of Woodstock, Georgia, Joseph and Terry of Cleveland, Ohio; step-sons, Foster F. and Randy C. Wilson, Sr. of both of Orma, WV and Gary L. Wilson of Prentess, WV; step-daughters, Laura B. Thompson and Linda C. Hall both of Arnoldsburg, WV, Wanda L. Carpenter of Spencer, WV and Loretta Moore of Covington, Virginia; three brothers, Kenneth of Brunswick, Ohio., Robert and Franklin of Cleveland, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora A. and Edith V. Mellott; daughter, Judith Mellott Hooper and son, Robert Mellott.

Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg on Sunday, July 27, 2003 at 10 a.m. Rev. Austin Whit will officiate. Interment will be in West Virginia Memorial Garden in Calvin, WV. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
