AIR-WING UNIT MEMBERS MAY STAY ON ACTIVE DUTY - Was Scheduled For August 2nd Return

Half of the members of the 130th Airlift Wing based in Charleston will have to stay overseas for an unspecified period, according to the National Guard.

Numerous other Army Reservists and National Guardsman are expected to be in Iraq for an extended period.

The 200 member unit was scheduled to return to Charleston on August 2nd.

Major Mike Cadle says the military is still determining who will stay and who will return.

Members of the unit were deployed at different times, but the majority left Charleston in March.

Thirteen security policemen attached to the 130th returned to Charleston in May.

Details of the 130th's mission have not being released.
