In Clay County, where officers, officials and board members change with the rising sun, the town of Clay's only police
officer, Chief "Buckshot" Butcher, is no longer serving the struggling town.
Butcher may have gotten in trouble when he arrested the mentally retarded client of a mental health agency.
Danny Workman, a Prestera Center client that wanders the streets of Clay, has been the subject of other arrests, including
an arrest for exposing himself.
There is no public explanation why tickets and arrests made by Butcher have all been dropped, apparently by the order of
the Clay Prosecuting Attorney.
Cases against Workman have also been dropped.
