MURL MAFFETT BIBBEE - Vienna, formerly Calhoun

Murl A. Bibbee, 74, of Vienna died July 3, 2003, at her residence.

She was born April 15, 1929, in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Ralph and Arvella Everson Maffett. She graduated from Belpre High School and attended Marietta College. She was a former switchboard operator for Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. She was a secretary for Lyle Knapp, CPA, a bookkeeper for Ohio Valley College, a secretary for the former Parkersburg Community College and most recently a bookkeeper for West Virginia Consumer Credit Counseling. She was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Bibbee of Parkersburg and Dan Bibbee and his wife, LuAnna, of Little Hocking; one granddaughter, Kate Bibbee of Little Hocking; and four sisters, Jean Davis of Cleveland, Ohio, Opal Fernandez of Orange County, Calif., Ruth Rogers of Jackson, Mich., and Glenn Basom of Hudson, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Russell Bibbee, on Feb. 9, 1998; one son, David Bibbee; one grandson, Jason David Bibbee LeDeaux; two sisters, Rose Stemple and Ruby Poling; and one brother, Vere Maffett.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna with Evangelists Tom Butterfield and Mark Mason officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home of Vienna.
