SAMPSON RECOVERING FROM ACCIDENT - Rt. 5-Leafbank Collision

Duane Sampson of Big Root is recovering from injuries he received in a car accident Saturday, according to family members. He was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg for further treatment from Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center in Grantsville. Physicians thought he might have a kneecap injury, but family members said "He has bumps, bruises and some pretty good scrapes, but he is making the best of it." Sampson was involved in a two-vehicle collision at Leafbank Road and Route 5.(See earlier story and pictures) No information was available on the other two individuals involved in the accident.
